At this exact moment, I'm in my school's library cafe, taking a break from studying for final exams. I was just with two new upperclassmen friends, one of which is the oh-so-talented *vintage-aerith. Her gallery is great. It's nice to be around such creative talents at school. They really inspire you to try new things or just improve on stuff.
My break is from this upcoming Tuesday- the 16th- and classes don't resume until the 20th of January. That gives a reasonably large amount of time to work on things I normally complain I have no time for. But that's such a sad excuse; how can one say they have no time for the things they love? For the things they want to become skilled at? So over this winter break I will have no excuse for not improving in at least some area, and have something nicer to put up than kissing fish. xD
The only thing, in retrospect, that I have been doing that I love is my writing. Especially my NaNoWriMo, though I only accumulated about 30,000 words, have been working on a lot. Maybe I can do some sketches and tablet work with the characters from that project. And, dare I say it, color them! Coloring scares me.
That sounds like a good idea.
I've been gathering a list of things to try to get done over the break. This is one of the top ones, along with getting as many hours in at the Barnes & Noble I work at. There are also many books I want to read. Then there is my sewing.Mainly my Naruto cosplay (which I'm not sure if I'll use, but might as well finish), and my creepy-cute crochets (lawl) and my little felt bunnies (again, lawl). Then there is also my polymer clay and just other stuff. And I have not watched much anime since I've been here. All I've watched is the first season of Code Geass. There are a couple of titles I'll have to catch up on, same with manga. So until I learn how to time-manage, I will sporadically stumble into each of my projects and to-dos.
So much to do, so little time?
No. No, I don't thing that's the case.
I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and best wishes in the new year!
Eesh...when I get home I have to shop for people. Not fun having no car. Dx
